Tautai Freedom School
Tautai Freedom School is a liberated learning space for Pasifika and Native youth between the ages of 14 and 22 to learn their Indigenous cultures of Oceania and Turtle Island. Our participants learn the deep history of racism and colonization and develop their critical analysis skills so they may join in the fight against racism while strengthening their cultural identity together. Tautai Freedom School is born out of the legacy of freedom fighting of our Oceanian ancestors against colonial occupation in solidarity with our African American & Native American relatives who consistently resist the encroachment of white supremacy and unfettered capitalism. Tautua Freedom Schools take place in August and also in January. Stayed tuned in!

Oceania Northwest acknowledges that we live and work on stolen Coast Salish land. We recognize the land stewardship of all Indigenous people since time immemorial and the disruption of this work by white colonization. We are aligned to efforts in supporting Indigenous sovereignty in the Pacific Northwest as we also fight for Indigenous sovereignty over our home, Oceania.
